It's Not Over til the Chubby Lady Cleans

Well, the week started with rainy weather and ended with more of the same. It didn't slow anyone down though! I am thankful for that!  This was the scene after Charlie Brown movie night at church.  I love that little movie- but I was amazed to find out it is 55 years old!  I watched it when I was growing up and again when my children were little and now when I am a child at heart.

The kids seemed to enjoy Cookie Night, and I am very thankful that I found more sprinkles in the freezer because one child decorated one cookie with an entire jar of them.  She was proud of that cookie too.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were both fun filled and loud!  Mark and I both were exhausted after everyone went home.  Well, he'll deny it, but I won't!

I hope all who celebrate have and had a wonderful holiday season.

The only Charlie Brown movie I remember seeing was the Great Pumpkin 9about 50 years ago) and I thoroughly enjoyed it, I must see if the Christmas one is on you tube or somewhere like that. It seems like you had a lovely busy Christmas. Best wishes for 2025 :)

It sounds like you had a wonderfully eventful and joyous week despite the rainy weather! I'm glad it didn't slow anyone down and that you could enjoy all the festivities.

I can just see that over?decorated cookie. And my smile is threatening to split my face. I am sure you were exhausted, but it is the very best kind of fatigue.

our Christmas at home before I married was always loud and fun too, with bob and me alone, its quite and all 3 of us were I'll, but we are climbing out of that and waiting for the new year. smiling over the springle episode. your last comment reminded me of my grandmother, when we used to come for a week from Savannah to here where I live now, she would be so happy to see us she cried, but by the time we left she was pushing us out the door and crying from relief. she lived alone and we were loud

First, your title is funny, what a clever thought. ; ) I can't believe the Christmas show is 55 years old. I used to watch it with my kids as well.....and still do! The cookie making sounds fun. Enjoy the rain, that's always a good thing here in California. And I hope the new year treats you very well, Terri.

I'm new here - so I am not sure where you live or how many children you have.
Sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas. I get tired once it is over as well. I have a small family. We had a nice Christmas dinner too. Could you send me your email address? I like to write my friends back personally. Mine is skcz@comcast.net
We here in GA are experiencing fog and rain this weekend.
