Zoom, Zoom, Zoom, Zoom

Trying out my new zoom lens and it's looking like I am going to need a few lessons!  :)

First and biggest problem so far is seeing sharp through the lens, but the photo turns out blurry.

Would be nice to see an eagle, but not today.

Turtles doing what turtles do.  Look how smooth that piece of wood is.  Looks like this one is a favorite sun spot.

And then the snow and ice came.  Enough already!

Mother Nature was playing some wild havoc on people (and animals) this past fall and now winter!

Little Man is not amused, but pretty happy about the extra grain and hay he's getting.

Practice makes perfect and I look forward to your future photos with your new lens. They are always fun to learn with, I think!

Hello,
The Bufflehead ducks are pretty, great sighting and photo.
I love your Little Man, getting extra grain helps to put up with the cold snow. It's been awhile since I have seen turtles, our weather has been too cold. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your day! Have a wonderful week!

I enjoyed your photos - I think they were great - and you are going to be perfect with a little practice. You have such beautiful wild life around you.

How fun you are getting to know your zoom lens on your camera. These are fantastic photos, and I especially liked the nest on top of the tree and the snowy landscape. We are expected some more snow in February. The picture of Little Man is delightful too.

Some really lovely photos. My favorite is the turtles sunning themselves.

yep - gotta get the focus spot on with a zoom. I don't always. But then it could be an artistic shot :) I like your icicles image. Enjoy your week and thankyou for visiting my blog this week.

hugs to Little Man, he captured my heart standing out in the icy air. I miss my zoom lens on the DSLR Rebel, I find zooms on non DSLR and on cells do the same thing. also no matter the lens all of it takes a lot of practice. my hands shake now and I cant even take a decent video with a cell

You've sure had the winter weather this year. You know I grew up in your part of the country and it was always a treat to get snow....ice no so much! My Dad would have to drive us to school in his old pick up...how embarrassing! heehee!

Just keep on practising with that new camera. Those turtles must have used that a log a lot, seeing how smooth it is.

I always got frustrated with the zoom on my camera. It was never as sharp as I wanted it to be.
Thanks for visiting my blog post. Its been quite a while for both of us. Hope you don't get this awful cold. It seems to take forever to go away.
Love all of your photos. and the one of Little man. Brrr...

It always takes a while to get used to new gear! My suggestion would be to go to a public park and photograph the ducks to get it sorted out! But I still like these pictures.
