Mark's garden is doing well,
considering the amount of rain we have gotten. I'm thankful for that rain.

This little girl was watching me mow.
She appeared to be a statue, just frozen.
One of our baby martins that just wasn't quite ready to fly.
I'm imagining it's hiding from it's family because
they will dive-bomb the heck out of it to make it fly
(He finally took off)
I didn't get any photos, but we have a couple of hawks that are very interested in our babies.
I've listened to them screech out front and the other day they tried to cruise over the houses but thankfully the martins came out in force and chased them away.
Just a few more weeks and the birds will all take off for their winter vacation. I will breathe a big sigh of relief that the predators here didn't kill any.
I'll finish my rounds with these storm photos from the other day.
Nothing came out of them for us, but others got a ton of rain.
I'm thankful for small blessings- here, there and yonder.

There's nothing like home grown tomatoes. They are good for so many dishes, and just for eating plain. Thanks for taking us along on your ranch rounds. I love to see the deer roam about. Those cloud photos are mysterious and beautiful. I'm glad that Hawk didn't get the baby birds. Have a good week ahead, Terri.
ooooh that deer, be still my deer loving heart!! the garden is growing well and producing already, yay, for you guys!! those are some scary, but gorgeous storm clouds...you know what i mean!! we need rain!!
Nature can be so cruel. I love hawks, but not around my songbirds!
I think we had about 2" of rain last week. I know others (my daughter in LA) got a LOT more.

It’s wonderful to grow your own produce in summer and we miss the days when we did that living in VA. Glad those storm clouds passed by but they were so dramatic and good photo opps.
What wonderful cloud photos. I wish we had a garden like that, all that fresh produce would be really tasty but sadly neither of us are gardeners. Mind you I did have a small vege garden when the kids were little, but then I went out to work and didn't have the time to keep it up.
