Mark's garden is doing well,
considering the amount of rain we have gotten. I'm thankful for that rain.
That's a Sonic billboard tarp under his gro-bags.

Purple hulls are about to turn
Bitter melon
(Someone at the farmer's market gave it to him)
This little girl was watching me mow.
She appeared to be a statue, just frozen.
One of our baby martins that just wasn't quite ready to fly.
I'm imagining it's hiding from it's family because
they will dive-bomb the heck out of it to make it fly
(He finally took off)
I didn't get any photos, but we have a couple of hawks that are very interested in our babies.
I've listened to them screech out front and the other day they tried to cruise over the houses but thankfully the martins came out in force and chased them away.
Just a few more weeks and the birds will all take off for their winter vacation. I will breathe a big sigh of relief that the predators here didn't kill any.
I'll finish my rounds with these storm photos from the other day.
Nothing came out of them for us, but others got a ton of rain.
I'm thankful for small blessings- here, there and yonder.
Have a great weekend, y'all!

Hello Terri,
I wish I had some tomato plants here. The gardens look great.
Love the sweet deer and the cute baby Martin! I hope they all stay safe from the hawks. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great day and a happy weekend! PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
I love your banner and all of your beautiful photos. I miss my home state of Arkansas!
Your garden is looking good. We have been having a lot of rain/storms here in KY, as well.
Thank you for linking up!
I really love your blog header, and your photos are so beautiful and captivating!
I am a bit confused about the mention of winter vacations (for the birds) when summer has just begin.
Good sky shot.
Such beautiful photos! That little deer frozen like a statue is absolutely precious, and I'm so glad the baby martin finally made his escape from the family's tough-love flying lessons. Glad the storms missed you, too.
Nice garden, and great storm cloud photo.
Lovely photos. Your tomatoes are looking very healthy, mine are a bit wilted, already very hot around here.

Nice to have Martins around. Looks like you will have a bumper crop of melons!
There's nothing like home grown tomatoes. They are good for so many dishes, and just for eating plain. Thanks for taking us along on your ranch rounds. I love to see the deer roam about. Those cloud photos are mysterious and beautiful. I'm glad that Hawk didn't get the baby birds. Have a good week ahead, Terri.
ooooh that deer, be still my deer loving heart!! the garden is growing well and producing already, yay, for you guys!! those are some scary, but gorgeous storm clouds...you know what i mean!! we need rain!!
Nature can be so cruel. I love hawks, but not around my songbirds!
I think we had about 2" of rain last week. I know others (my daughter in LA) got a LOT more.
Gosh! Those storm clouds ... amazing photographs.
All the best Jan
Poor Martin babies I hope they all find their wings! Nice looking tomatoes!
It’s wonderful to grow your own produce in summer and we miss the days when we did that living in VA. Glad those storm clouds passed by but they were so dramatic and good photo opps.
What wonderful cloud photos. I wish we had a garden like that, all that fresh produce would be really tasty but sadly neither of us are gardeners. Mind you I did have a small vege garden when the kids were little, but then I went out to work and didn't have the time to keep it up.
Wonderful photos. Those clouds are amazing.
The garden looks like it's going to be very productive! Wonderful to have the purple martins and deer - great pictures. The storm clouds look really ominous! Glad nothing came of it.
Wonderful photos! Makes me want to grow carrots and other stuff. The garden is small but I could get a raised bed on legs maybe. Have a great week!
Wow! Those are powerful storm clouds! And beautiful! Lovely to see all the produce growing. Your baby martins and deer photos are delightful!
