Saturday Birds
I love this great blue heron's square neck reflection. I rarely see one wading in deeper water.
I know some of you are already knee deep in snow, but I am so glad that Fall is finally here. I'm loving the cooler weather. Storms are coming tonight or tomorrow, and we do need the rain, but the nice chill on sunny days didn't last long enough for me.
The canadian geese are still dropping by, even though the water level in the pond is so low. Bet they are hitting their heads on the bottom when they flip for fish. :)

Hello,
That is a cool heron reflection. It is not often I see the herons wading in deeper water. We could use some more rain here too. But, I do not want snow. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend. PS, thank you for the visit and leaving a comment on my blog.
So lovely to see all of those birds. I am so glad you are getting cooler weather. I love both of your pictures. So nice to see your photography.
Oh my. Oh my, oh my, oh my.
Thank you.
Beautiful Heron image.
We never see a Heron in that much water either! Guess he was cooling off! Beautiful geese photo too!
That Heron is a beautiful bird in a great shot.
The cool weather has been a relief hasn't it? What a brutal summer we had.
Loved the square heron.
I LOVE that first shot...
Love that heron reflection. We had snow, but it is almost all gone by now.
Great photos! Have a blessed week.
Absolutely spectacular photos, I too love the change of this season. Thank you for sharing, and thank you for visiting me.
Blessings,
Sue
That square neck reflection is funny! I never see them wading that deeply, either.
Yes, it's nice to finally be getting some Fall weather!
The reflection in that first shot is great. Georgia is short on rainfall, too but we did have an all day rain yesterday. These crisp mornings and clear blue skies are part of the reason fall is my favorite season. Thanks for dropping by the blog. Have a good evening.
I wonder why the neck reflection squared like that in the photo. You and me both - I have been waiting for fall and the cooler chilled temperatures - that is my favorite. Sandie
That heron really does have a fun reflection. He is quite magnificent. No snow here...yet. I am hoping for a mild winter.
hey there, friend. hope u r well. long time so see, but i am always glad to play catch up. i will look around a bit. hope u r having a good fall. we had a nice rain storm. need we were n need here in VA. i think some more is supposed to show up Wednesday. we will see? great birds. leaf pick up time. ( ;
take care this week.
Oh, I love those geese, but their honk is LOUD, letting their loved ones know someone is near. The Great Blue Heron is a grand bird, and I often wonder why he's called blue, as he doesn't look blue in the pictures.
Enjoy these wonderful Fall days, Terri. We still have a lot of Autumn here too. Your photos are awesome.

Awesome images. As always!! And I apologize for being delayed in stopping by to visit & send my thanks for linking up with us birders at I'd Rather B Birdin this week!
Much appreciatedHootin' Anni (aka Anni at IRBB)
I enjoyed your photographs, lovely to see all of those birds.
All the best Jan
Gorgeous heron! One of my favorite birds!
Wonderful photos, Terri! Hope you enjoy your weekend.
That is such a good picture of the Heron. Our little pond was way down too. It was very dry here up until a week or so ago when a couple of fronts coming through brought us rain. Poppy always worries that the pond will get too low and kill the fish.
Thanks for stopping by my blog...It's been a long time since I came over to your blog too.
I'm loving Fall finally making it's appearance around here in the Sacramento Valley.
We have a few geese that have settled permanently in a small pond a few blocks from our home.
I love the sound of them calling as they fly over.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
