In flight, this bluebird is beautiful! I captured this pose after I snapped a few pics of him beating the heck out of a worm on top of a fence post. I'll save you that yuck. :)
Lil Man loves to stick his head through the fence and get a good scratch on. Over time, he has broken wires, and snapped off brackets and pushed the t posts out of whack. I'm waiting for him to just walk right on through. It's time for a new fence, and that's why I reckon it looks the way it does.
Second week of algae in the pond. We're trying to get an extension agent to come out and give us info on what to do. (Some of you suggested red algae and that's also what we think.) Peep the wretched turkey vultures (on top and sides of the dam) whom I am blaming this whole mess on.
On a happier note, the martin babies are hatching and that means parents flying all day long catching bugs and dragonflies. It won't be long and the babies will be learning to fly and then they will be gone until next year.

That was a cool ending.
You live in such a pretty area, Terri. I think I would visit that horse every day. You caught the beautiful white bird on your walk - an egret? That's neat that you saw Glen Campbell's site at the cemetery. Please do let us know what the red is at the pond.
A happy June week to you.
Great shot of the bluebird!! Like the name of your horse. :)
A beautiful looking horse. When you get an itch, you've got to scratch. :) Thanks for your visit and comment.
Hello Terri,
Lovely capture of the bluebird. I love your Lil Man too.
I wish I had the Purple Martin here, it is nice they eat all those pesky bugs. Looks like an egret, pretty scene. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your day! Have a great new week ahead.
I always thought Glen Campbell was born in Delight! I loved his music.
Me too! Billstown is almost in Delight. He's buried at a cemetery on Billstown Road.
That is a great shot of the bluebird!
Glen Campbell was a talented singer and musician and played background on many popular artists tracks as part of the legendary Wrecking Crew musicians.
I like the bluebird and such a lovely horse.
I've always enjoyed Glen Campbells music and what a great end to your post.
All the best Jan
