Thankful today (and every day) for my husband. 49 years! He is the brave to my fear, the calm to my crazy, the happy to my sad, the positive to my negative, and the patience to my impatience.
We decided to forgo anniversary cards & gifts and just go out to eat after riding around the lake. This photo was taken from the boat ramp at one of the camping areas. We kept getting closer and closer and this bird was not moving. You can barely tell that there is water beneath him because it was so dreary out.
I hope everyone has recovered from Thanksgiving. I am trying to get started on Christmas but I seem to be spending more time on planning that actual doing. :)

Congratulations on your 49th anniversary! We celebrated our 51st anniversary this fall. Each year together becomes more cherished, and more dear, and I hope we both have many many more!

Happy anniversary, 49 years is quite an achievement. Wishing you many more to come. You have a lovely nativity set, a bit different to the norm. And a wonderful pic of that bird. Like you I only seem to be thinking and not doing as far as Christmas is concerned, although I do have the shopping finished for the littlies.

Belated anniversary 🎉🥂wishes to you and your husband and such a sweet tribute to him as well. Christmas decorating is later here as we had an extended Thanksgiving getaway visiting with friends and family.
