Foto Friday 17 ~ Flashback

The sky was gorgeous when we got home from the
concert last night.
A rare southern glimpse of the Northern Lights.
Sooooo pretty. You could even see the reddish tinge
without the phone camera. I can't imagine getting
to see this all the time up north.

Another rare (to us anyway) sight...a yacht used as a camper.
To each his own.  :)

My beautiful granddaughter- she's going to have a BIG baby.
He's already 5 pounds and she is only 30 weeks here.

We went on a small leaf-peeping tour to Albert Pike last weekend.
The leaves were just starting to turn.  Camping is not allowed here anymore
(that I know of) since lives were lost in a flash flood.
It sure is a beautiful place.

Last, but not least, Happy Veteran's Day to my dad- twenty years in
the Air Force and I could not be prouder of him.
I am thankful for all branches of our military, and
especially thankful that there are still men and women who are
brave enough to serve and protect our country.

You post to a lot of groups/memes. I know they exist, but I don’t know how anyone learns of them. Not that I want to join, but it makes me curious.

What a beautiful place! I may have to go take pictures there. My husband would love to camp in a place like that but I understand why camping isn't allowed anymore.

Grace & Peace,
Pam

That is a lovely sky, and the Albert Pike area looks lovely in its Autumnal colours.
I wish your granddaughter well in her pregnancy.
Belated good wishes for Veterans Day.

All the best Jan

That's a beautiful red sky! How wonderful that your granddaughter will deliver her baby soon. Such happy news for your family. You have a lot of golden color in your Autumn. We get a lot of oranges and golds and reds. Your dad was very handsome.

Have a good November week, Terri. I always enjoy your unique photos.

I missed seeing the southern lights or Aurora Australis because I forgot about them but the said they were very spectacular and the aurora was seen from Queenstown (New Zealand) to Quebec. Your grand daughter looks lovely and maybe further along than 30 weeks, wishing her well :)

we saw the northern lights as well!! i did not know they were better seen with a phone camera but now i realize when i held my camera up, they were brighter. i shared my best picture today. here along the jersey shore, we see a lot of "houseboats" but they are usually in the water. my first son was 10.5 pounds and i was only 110 pound when i got pregnant. i gained 70 pounds!!

Totally jealous of your northern lights shot!! I love the Albert Pike photos, such clear, still water, reflecting the fall color makes for a great shots. I appreciate your Dad's service. I never served but lots of people in my family did and I appreciate all of them.
