Thankful Thursday ~ Every Day is a Gift

Wow, this is from 6 years ago- long deleted off my blog, but still from one of my earlier posts.  (Yeah, I've been blogging for about 7 years now...wait no, about 11..!)  Today I am thankful for good news about a spot found on an xray.  Thoughts are it is a kidney stone because it has moved, and boy have I felt it doing so.  I've never had one before...and do not want another.  Painful with a capital P.
Thankful for another trip around the sun, blessings to all.

The most painful of any complaint, hope it will be passed, zapped or disintegrated. Love the golden flowers, and as Hugh's doctor said after Hugh returned from heart surgery and 2 stents, " Any day is a good day when you have both feet on the floor in the morning",Hope the pain with the CAPITAL has gone.XXX

Wonderful quote. I'm struggling a little right now, so it comes at the right time.

I hope the "passage" goes quickly and with as little pain as possible!!

I've had kidney stones and know how painful they can be. The first time I had one my hubby took me to the ER! I thought I was dying! But it passed....so to speak! Drink lots of water. That's what I've been told and it seems to work! Hugs!

Well that is not fun but sure better than what you feared. Hope it passes soon.

Hello Terri,
I am so glad that I found your blog. I love the quote very much, it made me feel good!
I know how it's painful when a kidney stone suddenly moves, I was there.
I hope that you never experience this awful pain again.
Greetings from Utah.

...I sure do like the saying, I may steal it! I hope that things improve for you, I don't even enjoy a stone in my shoe.

Kidney stones are VERY painful but glad it is nothing worse for you. I love this quote. Make every day count. I am back from my travels at least for a little while so thank you for your comments during that time when I could not comment. Have a fabulous weekend.

oh i love this picture and the quote!!

i have suffered with kidney stones my entire adult life and they are no joke. flomax helps to relax and dilate your ureters and can help you pass the stone if it is small enough (under 5 mm)! anything over 5 you probably can't pass anyway. so i hope you know that, but i thought i would add my 3 cents!!!

So sorry for your pain, I had to have lithotripsy/sonic blasting to get rid of mine. Good luck.

Terri, I'm glad to hear it's just a kidney stone, but so sorry you have to go through the pain. Me and the girls have been blogging for about 8 years. : )

Amen~ every day certainly is a blessing and a gift!!

So, I think you remember that our daughter had a kidney transplant. We are well versed in kidney health/health issues.

One thing that my dad did for kidney stones was to drink dandelion tea. It seemed to help him, though it was many, many yrs ago.
Might be something to check out :)

Smiles :)
