...finding joy in the ordinary
Hello, I love the Whistling Ducks. Tex's Whistlers were always fun to see, I miss them too. I love the beautiful cattle egret. Nice set up for the Purple Martins. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. I appreciate the comment and visit. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
Hi, good to SEE you again... hope all is well
Well of course you're bird watching!
Hope the hawk didn't get anything, they will be back if they did.
I remember those Whistlers. That's your own Purple Martin station?
Nice photo of the Whistlers! Love the crest on the egret!
Wow! Gorgeous bird photos! Happy Day to you,A ShutterBug Explores, aka (A Creative Harbor)
The Cattle Egret is beautiful, and Purple Martins are very alert. Thanks Terri.
my first thought was the same as your's, we all think about her and miss her!!awesome shares this week!!!
The do look like Tex's Whistlers...how neat! I sure miss her and still take pics of fences that I don't post! lol Hugs!
Sweet! Yes, I still have them here. By the hundreds in winter...much fewer in summer as they are spreading northward! :-) Hope you and yours are doing well! Life continues...ready or not! Take care of yourself!
As much as I love hawks, I hate seeing them go for other birds. They should stick with squirrels and other rodents. ;)
Enjoyed your photos especially the one of the cattle egret. And look at all those purple martins!
Love your purple martins. I read that they gobble up insects at an astonishing rate.
LOVE your birds. I would be watching too.
Great pictures. I love seeing those whistlers. We don't have them around here.
That certainly is an interesting looking bird nest station. How fantastic!!
Those whistler are such neat birds. I love your martin condominium:) the cattle egret looks focused.
I want to send along my sincere thanks for your sharing this fabulous post this week with us birders! Love the cattle egret.
Just wanted to drop you a smile...doing a little of my own genealogy lately. Finding half of AR, TN, KY, VA, and much of TX are my relations. Connected with a five-time removed cousin in AR. Very cool. There are Wheelers, Sylvesters, and Fergusons in every niche of the South. Very cool. I found I'm a 12th generation American through the Wheeler clan...1646 Westmoreland Co...just across the river from Jamestowne. FamilySearch had record of a Boone relations back to 1061 Wales. Wow. He was called 'the Norman'.Hm...maybe you and I are related.
Great bird shots! I like that orange crest on the egret.
Sure hope the hawk went home hungry. The cattle egret really reminded me of Florida. Loved seeing them hitch rides on the backs of cows.
Lovely images I miss Tex's Whistlers adn her horses on he ranch. Have a wonderful week ahead.
Love the Whistling Ducks..Haven't seen them for a long time and only in pictures..Great Purple Martin house.
Pretty shots, and yes, the ducks in the first shot remind me of the Run Around Ranch blog, which I totally miss!
