Bird Watching

These two remind me of Tex's Whistlers at the Run Around Ranch. I've never seen any around here.

A cattle egret on the prowl.

My purple martins on high alert after a hawk attack.

Sweet! Yes, I still have them here. By the hundreds in winter...much fewer in summer as they are spreading northward! :-) Hope you and yours are doing well! Life continues...ready or not! Take care of yourself!

As much as I love hawks, I hate seeing them go for other birds. They should stick with squirrels and other rodents. ;)

Enjoyed your photos especially the one of the cattle egret. And look at all those purple martins!

Love your purple martins. I read that they gobble up insects at an astonishing rate.

Just wanted to drop you a smile...doing a little of my own genealogy lately. Finding half of AR, TN, KY, VA, and much of TX are my relations. Connected with a five-time removed cousin in AR. Very cool.

There are Wheelers, Sylvesters, and Fergusons in every niche of the South. Very cool.

I found I'm a 12th generation American through the Wheeler clan...1646 Westmoreland Co...just across the river from Jamestowne.

FamilySearch had record of a Boone relations back to 1061 Wales. Wow. He was called 'the Norman'.

Hm...maybe you and I are related.

Sure hope the hawk went home hungry. The cattle egret really reminded me of Florida. Loved seeing them hitch rides on the backs of cows.
