Thankful Thursday ~ Mama's Birthday

Today (Wed) is my mom's first birthday that I will not get to celebrate with her.  I watched this sunrise the other morning and I thought about her, and how much I missed her.  I am thankful that I had her in my life for all of my 60 years- and wish sometimes I could go back for just one day to smother her with kisses and hugs and tell her just how much I love her.  But I can't.  That doesn't stop me from talking to her now though, and somehow...I think she can hear me.

  2. I believe that too , and sometimes I hold onto that though so tightly. Your photo today is form your heart, purple blossoms, dark tree trunks, and shining light. Hold onto your memories.

  3. I am always telling my kids and husband that I love them. So often you hear people saying that they wished they had said things when the person was alive and regretted not being more open.
I'm not referring to you here though. I'm sure your Mum if she's out there somewhere was listening to your thoughts.

  5. My husband just lost his mother. Just after her death, they had mother's day in England. I know that was hard for him just as your Mom's birthday was for you. He said the same as you, he was lucky to love her and be loved by her for over 60 years. A mother's love never ends!

  12. I miss my mama and she's been in Heaven for 30 years. Now, my sweetheart, Mr. Sweet, is with her since last July and my heart is so shattered. I have much to be thankful for...and I am grateful. However, I miss all my loved ones.
