Thankful Thursday

If you follow me on instagram you may remember this shot.  It was made the day I fell and broke my camera.  I took this one with my cell phone.
I'm thankful that I had this day out with my husband, because he has become my calm in the  storm of my mother's illness, and for my sister, who is sharing the caregiver needs- I do not know what I would do without her.

Thankful also today for friends and family who are always here for me.   I pray that I am as good a friend to them as they are to me.

I don't know what is going on with the weather, the jonquils are blooming and the robins are flocking and the temps are just plain weird.  I'm just going to be thankful for that right now because I love the splashes of color.
Y'all have a great weekend!

Beautiful photo--thank you for sharing it. Thinking of you and sending good thoughts your way as you take the part of caregiver. It's a difficult and challenging role. I've been there and you have my sympathy. Hugs to you.

Such a beautiful picture you have shared. I'm happy that you and your husband could get out and enjoy the peace and beauty of God's world. I've been a caregiver for many years and I certainly know what you are going through. So thankful that your sister, husband and friends are there for you AND you are in my prayers, as well. Sending love and gentle hugs and prayers for your Mom. xoxo

I feel the same about the weather. I wonder if we are going to have a freakish snowstorm in March? I hope not! Thanks for linking up today and have a great weekend!

As a caregiver you do need moments of calm. Escape from responsibility never happens but a brief moment does help. Your photo is wonderful and I am sorry about that camera. We had to replace one just because it chose to quit working.

the weather is weird. we've lost half of our snow.

Beautiful, calm water with just that slight ripple, reflections and tall trees. You need to care for yourself too, I know how hard it can all be, even when sharing. And even when there is a brief time away, you always return. My love and so many caring thoughts for you and your sister and Mum right now.

Such a beautiful photo. Our weather has just been nasty. The weatherman said the other night we've had 89 days straight with snow on the ground continuously. And it's not just a little bit of snow. We currently have over 3 feet of snow in our front yard. And it's been that way since the end of November. I'm very ready for spring. I hope there is some improvement with your mom. Blessings, Betsy

Hi Terri, that is a beautiful, peaceful scene! Our weather is spring-like with temps in the 70's today. We've had a very mild winter with hardly any snow. Hope your mother gets better. I'm glad for you that you have family and friends helping. Take care. xo Cheryl

This is a great picture for taking it with your cell phone. What a beautiful, peaceful place. The robins are one of my favorite birds - they don't scare easily like the other birds. :)

Have a wonderful weekend.

Hi, Terri. Thank you for visiting my blog. Your cell takes very good photos. Mine can be out of focus at times. I will be keeping you and your sister in prayer about your mother. I find that I often just take one day at a time and remember that God is with me throughout it all. Have a blessed Sunday.

Terri, that is just a gorgeous shot! I am so thankful for this unusual weather, because here in Wisconsin we're enjoyed 62 degrees, sun, and all our snow melted. Yea!! I hope all goes better for you. We all need support, and sometimes it's hard to come by. Caring for parents is a wonderful but taxing opportunity. I've been there. I hope you have lots of support from friends and family. I don't think I follow you on Instagram. I'm going to check on that!

With your cell phone? Wow. Your husband sounds wonderfully supportive. Caregivers need all the support they can get!
