K is for Pre-K
My grandson Liam started pre-Kindergarten Wed.  His mom sent a photo of him crying, standing by himself in the classroom, which made me cry too, but in the end, as it usually always happens, he was fine.  Then she sent lots of happy photos, which made the worry disappear.  He's the youngest of  my grands, and this day came too fast.  I feel like Whoa Susannah....they don't know he needs 14 kisses every 45 seconds!

On facebook this morning, someone has discovered new dinosaur tracks in a nearby county.  The group page is called Arkansas History Unearthed.  Check out the photos if your interested.   Very cool!

And This!
A huge crack in my windshield.  Loggers made a big mess on the highway
and as I was driving by said mess, a truck coming from the other direction
threw a huge mud covered rock, which (just my luck) hit my windshield.
A lovely way to end my week. :)

  4. so glad the windshield did not shatter and harm you. what a pain to have to get it replaced. did you know your insurance will replace it same day because it is the law... they even went to where bob was working and replaced it in the parking lot.... that sky is just incredible and spectacular. and of course I LOVE the horses. and their names

  5. Yes, bittersweet when they start school. Our youngest Grand just turned 4 and started preschool. He also went last year so he knows the teachers and was excited to return. If only you had stopped that truck. Their insurance would be liable for your crack. However - not easy to turn around and catch them, I know! This happened to us one time when ice flew off the top of a truck and actually broke the windshield. (It was scary.) The trucking company paid to have it repaired.

  6. I feel your pain with the pre-kindergarten. I refuse to believe Piper is big enough for pre-school. She's having a great time though. Sorry about your windshield. Every time I drive through Montana the same thing happens.
    Blessings,

  8. Dramatic sky shot! I remember tear stained faces, enough to break a heart. Nice picture of the horses - worth framing. Bummer about the windshield, bet it scared you when it hit!

  9. Your sunset photo is absolutely gorgeous!! I know the pain of the first day of school. I just keep saying that it's impossible that they are that old. They adjust a whole lot better than we do. LOL Sorry about your windshield.

  10. I hope your leg is doing better. So sorry about your windshield. Oh, it's hard to let go of the little ones to send them to class, isn't it? I love your horses. Wishing you and yours a nice weekend.

  11. grandies, they cry, then in 5 minutes, all better. Superb sky, and the windshield, thank goodness for glass that doesn't break and shatter into the inside. Hope your insurance covers it all, ours does down here.

Our granddaughter started preK on Wednesday also. She is our youngest grandchild and I believe she will want to take control of the class.
Years ago they were working on the InterState and found dinosaur tracks, they were neat to see.
    Pretty horses.
    How exciting!

  25. That is a gorgeous sky and peaceful water and horses. The cracked windshield, not so much.

My youngest grandson started school recently and I worried myself insane. Did better than we expected, until he broke his arm on the playground. (radius & ulna)

  29. That red sky is jaw dropping. I have a smaller one of those on my windshield. I hate it when trucks throw rocks at us for no reason. First day is seldom tear free for all concerned. So glad he adjusted so quickly.
