Thankful Thursday

video

This little guy provided a distraction at the hospital
while we were waiting for my brother in law to
come out of heart surgery.  (He's fine)

I'm not sure if he was defending his territory
or making a pass at his own reflection.  :)

Today I am thankful for time, and how fascinated I have become with the simpler things in life.

  2. Even the mention of heart surgery makes me cringe. I might need a bit bigger distraction! Hope your brother in law is doing well.

  5. Usually the simple things in life are the best. It is taking the time to realize they are there, and often all around us.

  14. It is always to be reminded of that I think. Things just go crazy in the spring don't they. You have to watch where you are going around here so you don't get hit in the head by some crazy bird.

With that throat thingy the gecko was doing, he was looking for love.

  22. We spent the entire day in the hospital, encouraging my wife's friend before her surgery. Everything was behind schedule and the surgery was long. My wife and I were so tired from the time spent. Glad to be there for her but not glad for the exhaustion. The friend has been given more time to live but the cancer was not totally removed. We were glad we could be there for her and will stay by her side through it all. I am glad the brother was good.

    1. You are a good friend to be there like that. Our day was also long, and stressful to wait for news. I am sorry about your wife's friend's cancer. My mom has recently been diagnosed and we are at the beginning of a long battle which cannot be won. I do not know which is worse- the disease or the treatment.
