Morning Has Broken

Great Blue Heron
Moment in Time
October 1
7:35 a.m.

Early sunrise shot of a Great Blue heron at the lake.
Chilly 55 degrees, with steam rising on the water.

'Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God’s recreation of the new day'

"Morning has Broken" /Eleanor Farjeon
sung by Cat Stevens

  1. Wonderful image but now I have an earworm. It's a beautiful song but I won't think so in an hour or so. Yusuf Islam never understood why he changed from one silly sounding name to another.

  2. I don't either- this is one of my favorite songs, and you are so right about it becoming an earworm!

  21. I don't think it's been 55 in Tampa since about, 1955

(at least it seems like it. This has been a brutal summer, even with the thousands of inches of rain)
