Fowl on the Fence

My son's guineas have discovered the pig pen and ramble over every morning for a bite or two of pig feed.  This one has spotted me looking at him...it's a stand off, but at least no honking at me today.  My daughter tells me that they have figured out how to climb her apple tree and get on top of her trailer.  Now I bet that's a noisy wake up.  Sharing with Tex for Good Fences, Mersad for Through my Lens, and Kim for Little Things Thursday.

  3. Not sure whether the fence, in this instance, is helping or hurting. :-)

  4. Sometimes (often) they are too smart for our own good aren't they?
    Brilliant photo.

  5. Great shot.
I adore guineas, and wish that we had gotten a few of them when we lived the homestead.
So, even though they are noisy, I still say "lucky you"!

    Smiles :)

  18. I love guineas! None of our's have the spotted chest like the one in the picture. That really is a good picture. Guineas don't sit still for very long, do they?

  19. You are definitely getting the eye. I have always loved the look of the guinea and thought about getting some. You may have talked me out of that thought. Wasn't aware they were so noisy.

  21. Neat shot of the fowl. Our son had Guinea Hens in his farm yard as "watchdogs" but he finally had to get rid of them as he works nights and they were just too loud for him!
