Another Random Friday

Random Rascal

This big foot is Rocky, my husband's new dog.
He is slightly crazy and does not listen to commands,
like "sit", "stay", "stop jumping on my head when I try to put you on the leash",
or "quit wrapping your chain around and round your back legs",
or "stop eating pine cones" or "quit swimming in your drinking water".
He needs a Discipline 101 class, pronto, and maybe even a visit or two from Mr Cesar.
Although he is quite cute,
Katie and I agree- he needs work.

Last week we were camping at the lake,
taking a last small vacation before Mark went back to work.
It was perfect weather, and we did a lot of walking.
This is a cell phone pic, so it doesn't really show how pretty the leaves were.
This week we are having an unusually warm Indian Summer
so I am glad we went when we did.

It's that time again!
Arkansas State Fair Hog Show and my grands are so excited!
Of course these little ones are all grown up now.
I hope the kids have a fun & safe week.
I'll be here babysitting the other hog, 2 guineas,
McSquizzy the squirrel and Sadie Mae.  Whew!

and last, a smile for you...

Super adorable story...6 boys, and finally a girl..
watch second video, so CUTE!

  1. He's gorgeous. As long as you teach him to leave folks hens and sheep alone the rest will follow.

  2. He looks like one of those bratty children who grow into be the most obedient and well behaved. Our border collies was such a challenge but he is great today.

  11. He is adorable and looks a bit like Callie. Is he a shelter dog? Callie was the same out of control dog but once she ran, and ran, and ran some more, she became a model dog. They need to burn off the crazy energy after being cooped up. Enjoy that sweetie.

  13. What an adorable rascal. Soon, he will be trained.

State fair...I used to go. Too scary for me now. I dislike driving in Little Rock. Good luck to your grands.

The county and district fair is how we raised some spending money. I was excited about ribbons but the check was even more wonderful.

  27. Ah, he's just a little pup so he just needs some schooling. He looks like he may have some border collie or other working dog genes in his blood and those breeds learn really fast. Our county fair has been this week but I've been so busy I've missed it. Today is the last day so all the animal activities are over and Saturday is the day the kids love because the carnival with all its rides and games opens early.

  37. That is one cute puppy....hope it settles down. Imagine how rough and tumble that little girl will have it...and will be so lucky for it. I had three brothers closest to me in age, all older....and would not trade that for anything in the world.

  38. Rocky is adorable! When you finish training him not to jump on your head, can you come and train ours? She's 12 and still a rascal:)
