Thankful Thursday

I am thankful today that the storm has come and gone, and I have hopes that it was the last one of this winter season..(yeah right!)

I am also thankful that my mom's surgery yesterday went  extremely well, even if we did have to wait almost 8 hours before they finally got to her.  The worst part of the day was waiting and waiting and waiting.  The actual surgery only took about thirty minutes!

Everyone in the storm area, please be safe today.  The news is reporting lots of wrecks due to the ice on the highways.

  11. We managed to escape an ice storm that was predicted....it rained instead, then got cold, so the ice is not as destructive. Hopefully this storm business is going to pass soon.

  15. Glad your Mom is doing well after her surgery. Sorry for the long wait.

I love that scripture.. Your picture is perfect.

We got more ice/sleet here --and it's slick as glass outside. At least though, we didn't lose power and there's no damage this time... I'm ready for spring also.
    Hugs,

  32. That was a miserable wait for all of you but especially your mom. Out side of normal anxiety, she was waiting on an all ready empty and thirsty stomach. Hope she continues to do well.
We had the prettiest snow yet--6 inches--but it is all ready melting like crazy. The roads are perfectly clear. Hope the same for your area.

  54. Glad you hear your mom's surgery went well. Very nice photo! His Eye is on the Sparrow is a beautiful song--I used to sing it as a solo!

  55. "His eye is on the sparrow" one of my favorites! I knew a gentleman who would sing this piece in church or at one of my senior luncheons and his voice was absolutely amazing! He has since gone home to be with the Lord, but I still hear him singing this when I hear the words "His eye is on the sparrow."
Blessings to your mother as she heals.

It is so nice to visit and meet you. :-)
    Have a most blessed day.
    Joy! Debbie
