Oh Lonesome Me

I'm starting to worry about poor blue.  He's got to be just the most lonesome bird on my pond.

  8. It will not be lonely. All the fish keep it warm inside.

    Beautiful reflections.

  16. He might be there by himself, maybe a friend will happen by soon, Photo #1 with the muted colours in reflections is wonderful.

  17. Blue doesn't exactly fit that old saying... birds of a feather.

  18. They are solitary birds. He'll be happy if he catches enough to eat.

  19. Oh don't worry I am sure he/she will be OK. Great shots. Hug B

  20. They always seem to be loners! I don't think they want to have to compete for fish! ;)

  21. It did make me smile, to see him all hunched up there. Poor cranky fellow.

  22. Even if he is by nature a loner, his posture kind of says something else. Rather like a new kid's first day in the cafeteria.

  24. He does look lonely out there while the geese enjoy themselves. I like how you captured that one goose's wings outstretched.

  25. Awww. It does paint a lonely picture, but I think they enjoy hunting by themselves. At least he is among other waterfowl. :)

  26. Aw, he looks kind of sad, doesn't he. Great photos!

  27. Maybe he is security for the geese!

  28. Loved your photos today! I am thinking that maybe herons are loners as it seems that when I have seen them here, trying to steal a koi, they're always by themselves. Speaking of geese, I was shocked to see a group of them today, in the middle of a city, by the side of a very busy road. I told me friend who was driving she should have stopped so I could get a photo :)
    Blessings,
    Aimee
