Friday...Randomly

This month has flown by and I have been in such a tizzy to get ready for Christmas. I've done more online shopping than ever before and I loved it.   My girls did too.  All of us had UPS and FedEX hopping!

I was at Walmart yesterday to pick up groceries for Christmas dinner.  Out front was a young woman with one child on her hip and one on the ground, throwing a tantrum.  She was pleading with the unruly child, and when I passed in front of her I heard her say "uno, dos, tres.."  and I almost burst out laughing.  Counting doesn't work in any language..I don't know why we moms even try that game.

My old car chose this week to die.  She was a good car, but over the summer we had to keep pumping cash into her to keep her going (new radiator, new fan, computer glitches and three flashes, and then..suddenly, the engine decided to start knocking.  So we now have a new car.  But I miss the old one.  She's  sitting out front by the shop now..the dealership wouldn't even take her as a trade in.  Sigh.

Mark and I celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary this month. Time sure does fly when you are having fun!

I don't know if you can see it or not, but in the upper right section, by the heart..that's a bullet hole.  One day a hawk was attacking my martins and I grabbed Mark's bb gun and started running towards the door.  I was going to shoot that mean old bird!  Instead I accidentally shot off a bb and it hit this plaque.  Scared me to death!  You'll shoot your eye out!  This is why I am not to be trusted with a weapon.

I can't think of another random, so I'll just leave you with one of my favorites from Alabama:

Blessings to you and yours ~
Merry Christmas!

  5. Terri, your plaque is so lovely, and the BB gun pellet hole, I wouldn't have noticed it if you hadn't mentioned it...so easy to happen. Shopping, presents, baking?? I haven't, well, I definitely haven't done much at all, so the next few days might be a blur of motion. Enjoy your weekend as you reach your shortest day , tomorrow we have the longest day, ( this always amuses me as the 24 hours in a day remain the same, only the daylight hours change!!!) but few really hot days as yet. Jean.

I hope you at least scared the hawk;))

  20. I love On-line shopping myself but this year I didn't do as much as I normally do. In fact I'm still trying to finish up shopping. It's just been crazy this year for some reason. Wow that would have scared me too shooting off the BB Gun accidentally like that. Happy Anniv. and a Merry Christmas too.

  23. Firstly Happy Anniversary and here's to many more! I have also had to resort to online shopping this year and I have to say everything has come through in one piece and on time, so will be doing this a lot more rather than fighting my way through shops. Take care with that BB gun! Have a wonderful Christmas x
