Silent Observations #7

Last night's moon, spider on the porch in the morning sun,
and the quiet wake from a fisherman's boat.

See how nature - trees, flowers, grass - grows in silence;
 see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence...
we need silence to be able to touch souls.

  7. Loving thoughts for your Mum, as I have Hugh in pain every day with multiple disc problems, we know so well how this affects your life in the basic everyday things. Let the doctors and specialists find the problem and start to fix. Lovely series, #3 my favourite. Take care for yourself, as the carer feels the pain so much, when they cannot take it all away. Hugs. Jean.

  20. For your first picture:

    The wind was a torrent of darkness among the gusty trees.
    The moon was a ghostly galleon tossed upon cloudy seas.
    The road was a ribbon of moonlight over the purple moor,
    And the highwayman came riding—
    Riding—riding—
    The highwayman came riding, up to the old inn-door.

    ~ Alfred Noyes, "The Highwayman."

    Hope you mom is feeling much better, and soon!

    Blessings and Bear hugs!
