A beautiful bird. It looks like a statue.
Hi Terri, Fun photos! Hope you have a nice weekend.
Awesome! I've never seen one of these guys except in photos.
I would NEVER hide if I were him.....or her....it's got the most beautiful combination of colors in its feathers!!!
oh, you lucky, lucky woman!!! i've never seen one in person!!!
HA ---Love your captions!!!! My kids used to play Marco-Polo in the swimming pool. Great memories.....Good photos, Terri.HugsBetsy
Will they travel as far as their namesake? Lovely photos with head and shoulders above the tall grasses, and beady eyes on something hidden to us. Cheers, Jean
Nice play on words!Never say never when it comes to birds - I would have never expected to see humming birds, but now I have!Cheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
Love it....and the commentary is perfect!!
I love that you named them and what you named them! They are awesome birds!!! Good Morning Terri!
NEVER seen that colour before awesome. Hug B
I would love to see one of those someday!! They are some beauties indeed :)
Beautiful Herons you have caught.
Amazing creatures!Lucky you to see them, and get to snap their pictures.Have a wonderful weekend!
The Little Blues are one of my favorite herons, they are gorgeous birds. Terri, great sighting and photos..Thank you for linking up your post with my critter party. Happy weekend, Eileen!
This is a new one for me! Gorgeous critter!
herons and egrets are so neat to watch, how they move so languidly with the breeze
Ha ha.. love the Marco Polo .. made me laugh.
Ha ha, Marco/Polo does fit those shots. What beautiful colors. Don't think I have ever been lucky enough to see any so blue.
The blue heron hardly looks real
Wonderful shots of heron.
Those are amazing pictures! But I cannot identify the birds. They are not the Great Blue Heron (sometimes called Grey Heron) with which I am familiar. Blessings and Bear hugs!
Marco Polo is a real beauty, love his colors and these are great shots.
At times herons can look like a statue until they move of course.
That reminds me, I want some frog legs soon.
The little blues seem to match their names with more actual blue coloring ... The Great Blue Heron, on the other hand, looks gray to me ... just sayin' . Very nice pictures, Terri ...Andrea @ From The Sol
