Look! Up in the Sky! It's a Bird! It's a Plane!

A Week of Sky-Watching

Wednesday afternoon- pop up storms: gully washing rain...wish I could send some over to western Texas.

Thursday morning: Just dropping by for a short visit. I have never seen pigeons around here before, but the dh says they are common.

Monday morning: Mr. Red Baron, the crop duster, is back... swooping up over my trees and my pond... he surely does enjoy his job.

Wednesday night's sky- whole lot of traffic going on up there.

  9. Such a busy sky with contrails going every which way! Doesn't seem very much separation between them either.

  12. wow! that last one with the contrails (i almost said entrails!) :)

funny, i have NEVER seen a pigeon here at run*a*round either. the closest is seeing them perched on a house about 1/4 down the road.

  13. (and even though i'm in east texas, we could really use a gully washer, too, although parts more westerly need it far greater)

  18. Nice shots! Wish I could send some of our clouds to the places that need them. Had flash flood warnings again yesterday, sigh... I see contrails and think - pollution... Nice plane, you have a steady hand and a good camera!

  26. Great pictures, Terri... Send some of your rain our way also. Tennessee is dry --except for those areas which got caught in that big storm yesterday.. We got a little rain --but need more here.

  35. Your skies are full of activity. The crop duster is my favorite, we have one who likes to fly directly over our house as he makes his approach to the nearby fields. At least he doesn't do it too early in the mornings.

  36. Beautiful cloud shot. It seems like I usually get about one day each year with the crop dusters flying over.

  37. ...all I can say is, if there are pigeons...don't look up with your mouth open!!!
