Give Me a W

W is for windmill and  roof braces, bicycle Wheels and an oil Well
nodding donkey/pump jack/thingamabob
that I have always wanted
so that I could stick it in the front yard and make folks just Wonder-
Is there oil there or is she Wacko..
to Which I Would never admit, even if I Were.

One day not long ago, our Bad Boy needed yet another good gosh almighty expensive  part so while I waited for dh to bring back the bad news I tried to capture a squirrel with my old Canon
that I leave in my car for just this kind of photo emergency.  LOL!

Please don't strain your eyes looking for said squirrel.
He's climbing up the back of the tree on the right.
Every time I clicked, he would feign right and run left.
He knew exactly what I was up to
and determined himself to have a big old ha ha on me.

I finally gave up.

PS- there is a fence in this photo.
Seriously, there is.

  1. I did look for the squirrel before reading on :-) and I see the fence, and this looks like someone's place of treasures.

  4. Squirrel? Squirrel? What squirrel? Then I read on and discovered I was wasting my time and eyesight. :) Lots of interesting stuff here. I like the old oil well pump. There is an oil well graveyard not far from where Hubs once lived. I would like to have a picture of it, but you have to walk back on the oil companies property to get a good angle. I figure I would be arrested for trespassing so haven't tried. Good use of waiting-on-Hubby time! Thanks for linking up!

  6. The nodding donkey might be cool to put in your land before trying to sell it. Should bring in the buyers hoping for oil. That is a "fence" photo that deserves a bit of time to see it all. Well done.

  28. Interesting stuff there, not that I have any idea what it's for. The cattle I showed is Eastern Finncattle. It's an old breed with only about 500 animals left. They're working as gardeners along the nature trail during the summer.

  33. That is one crazy photo! Oh and yes, I am on a Rx, called Nystatin that I rinse in my mouth and then I swallow it, four times a day. It is working and I am on the mend. My skin is yellowish-green tho so no new pics til that disappears. for sure........ ♥

  34. Funny post --and so much 'stuff' to look at... Reminds me of the Highway 127 Yard Sale in August ---which goes through our town. ME??? I stay far away from that sale --but I'm sure you could find all kinds of 'thingamuhbobs" there!!!!!! ha

    Hugs,

  35. Probably more than 1 fence in there. it is the kind of place that you could spend all day looking around.

  37. Wow, there's a whole lot of stuff going on here!

  38. This is like one of those puzzles to find the hidden objects. There is a place like that about 10 miles from here, except most of the stuff has rusted beyond being useful to anyone. This stuff looks pretty good by comparison. I especially enjoyed your commentary.

  42. I've never heard the expression, Nodding Donkey before but I like it and it would make people wonder wouldn't it. Did you notice the little heart cutouts on the fence, they are so cute. Such an interesting place.
