  3. Really enjoying the quotes and the photos.
The hummingbirds arrive back here in our parts around every year right around April 21st ~

  4. Your quote with water and trees, so lovely, and one wee bird weathering out the weather. Would that we all heeded those lovely words. Cheers, Jean.

  5. I LOVE the serenity (and words) in the first photo! Being someplace like that would sure help to make those words easier to accomplish!

  8. I love the saying in your first photo! So very true but why is it that we find it so hard to change the channel? Beautiful hummer!

  9. A photo of a still hummingbird! Now that's something you don't see everyday.

  10. I love the sentiment with that first picture. Some people choose to see the worst of things when there's so much beauty in the world.

  11. Beautiful photos... Beautiful thoughts...

Love the quote at the top of your blog... Oh so true. We can change the channel. But we forget this simple truth.

I just did a new post on "Here there are more words"... On the topic of meditation. And how I haven't gotten into it, yet. Meditation is supposed to help us to change the channel of thoughts playing in our mind......

  15. Congrats on winning the carving. You found a great spot for it. My poor hummers were not happy about the cold snap either. I only have two right now that fight constantly. They arrived yesterday right before the temp drop. They sure have attitude problems and the cold just makes them worse. I relented and put a second feeder out but now the bossy one tries to guard both. Sheesh

  19. Terri,
I really like your first picture and quote. It can be hard to let go of something that hurt us. In the big picture we are better off letting go and forgiving. Good Luck.

  41. Congrats on your gift... How special is that!!!!! AND---the words on your first photo really struck me today... I made the huge mistake of listening to someone talk on TV this afternoon... This person upset me SO much ---just by his words... I should never have listened to him ---and I should have 'changed the channel'... BUT--I just kept listening --getting more and more upset.... You'd think I would learn!!!! Guess I have too much faith in human behavior --and was hoping his words would speak to me in a positive way... They did NOT.... Oh Well.

    Hugs,
    Betsy
