Outside My Window ~ Cardinals

Opened my curtains this morning  to a  pair of cardinals playing in the sage bush.
Mr did not care to pose for me, but the female was quite willing to sit and stare back at me for just a few moments.  I wish I had some seeds to throw out for them, but I quit buying due to those dratted cowbirds.

  1. Lucky you to have the female cardinal cooperate! Usually it's the other way around for me.

Google+ has turned into a nightmare, hasn't it? I can't help you with that because I don't belong...but I will check to see how to change your email address and come back.

  2. Hey Terri,

On the Blogger draft page, click your name in the upper right hand corner to get to where you can change your primary email address. Hope this helps!

  3. Terri, your Cardinal photos are beautiful.. They are shy birds around me, very camera shy.. Enjoy your weekend and thanks for linking up to Saturday's Critters.

Wishing you all the best in 2014 and a Happy Healthy New Years!

  6. really nice shots of the birds in the sage.

i read something that said you can switch back to blogger profile within 30 days of trying the google+ profile - then your blogger profile is deleted for good. i don't know if it has been longer than that for you. i've never joined my g+ profile to my blog so i'm not sure how to advise. if you can't undo choices through the google+ on your blog side menu, i'm not sure what else to tell you.

and i can change the email address for comment notifications under settings-mobile and email.

  7. Beautiful way to start the Terri. That Google+ is something isn't it. It's double the work most times. Hope you get it resolved.

  8. Gorgeous photos of the Cardinals! I'm sorry I can't help you with the Google+. I hope you can get it figured out.

  9. Terri, these are lovely, and right there, I have to walk round the lawn to find any bird, the little sparrow was way up the front by a large conifer tree. I just stumbled ( not literally) across him by pure luck. Cheers, Jean.

  10. These photos are wonderful. I especially like the second one. Hope you can work out the Google+ difficulties, but I'm afraid I'd be of no help.

  11. Beautiful Cardinals. I have never signed up for Google +. I don't like change, and I'm happy with my blog as is. I don't know how to dis-entangle it….you might try the Blogger Forum where you can ask for help. As for your email address for comments, I think mine just comes to my regular email address, which I put in when I did my "settings". I'm probably not much help. I hope you get it all sorted out.

  12. Beautiful Cardinal shots!!! I am on Google+, but my Blogger dashboard has remained the same. Like TWG said, my email to receive comments can be changed via my dashboard through Settings, Mobile and Email. Good luck.

  13. The things I miss from growing up in the East are red: the oaks and the maples in the fall, and the cardinals. You're fortunate to have gotten those pictures!

    Blessings and Bear hugs!

  14. Wow...fine feathered friends indeed! Great shots! I have not converted my main blog to google + because I couldn't figure out how to find the posts of other friends who did. I did convert my other blog, but don't know how to convert it back either. Good Luck. We'll be here for you! Aloha

  17. Beautiful pictures. I love cardinals.
I trief Google +, but syarted getting Spam. It wouldn't let me control some things, either. I went back to my Google profile and at the bottom I could delete everything (no!), or just my google+ profile, which I did do. I like the old way. Too much social media! I eant blogger to just be blogger!

  18. Good luck with Google +. I didn't try it. When I get comfortable, I hate to stir the waters. Glad now I didn't.
Your lady Cardinal is pretty enough to be deservedly vain. Wonderful shots.

  19. Your pictures are GORGEOUS, especially the first one! I'm sorry about this problem and wish I could help. I did not join Google Plus because I am old and it confuses me. Any new blogger who comments to me, I can't reply unless I have Google Plus myself, or else I have to jump through hoops , so some people I am just unable to get to their blog, too bad!

  24. Google plus is a horrible mess. I tried it briefly and reverted. I hope they never force the change over from Blogger. In the meantime, try the instructions on this page. http://webapps.stackexchange.com/questions/29880/how-to-switch-back-from-google-profile-in-blogger I hope it works for you. All I can suggest beyond that is to make sure that you click on "save changes" or similar if it gives you that option. That might be why it didn't take for you before. I hope it helps. Please let us know.

  30. It was nice of the cardinals to come to your window and pose for you. :) When someone leaves a comment on my blog I like to click on the name and see their latest postings on their blog. It really bugs me when the link takes me to their Google+ account. Try this web page for help http://www.survivalguide4idiots.com/google-plus-tips-how-to-disable-your-google-plus-account.html
