Just Passing Through

The geese & otter have left- I've been watching these birds for a few days now
thinking they were coots, but I don't think they are., maybe Ring-Necked Duck?
For sure, they are first time visitors, so I hope they return next year.
Maybe by then I will have a better zoom lens
so I can get a closer shot without scaring them off.

  1. They are a bit too far away for me to tell what kind of ducks they are. You seem to have found a nice flock of whatever they are!

  13. Lovely series, and Santa, he will be so loaded down with tele lenses, they are every-ones' dream. Maybe order/request/ leave him a note for a tripod too, if you don't have one already. Cheers, Jean.

  19. I can see one for sure is a Ring-necked duck. On the last shot, second from the right is the Ring-necked. I see the white line around its bill. This is the time to see the winter ducks moving around. Enjoy your week ahead!
