Grateful November

I can't believe how time is flying.  It seems like it was just yesterday
that I was melting in the 100 degree heat &
pining for fall, and now it is here and almost gone.

The month of November is prime time
for being in a state of
"Gratitude"
so here are a few things I am thankful for this week:

~Week One ~
I'm thankful for prayer warriors, what comforters they are; for my family, each & every one; for the brave ones who fight for our country, past, present & future & for the dawning of each new day, be it 3 am or 6.

  3. Yes, this is the month to really focus in on those things we are grateful for. I still say you don't have to welcome the new day at 3:00 AM....snort!! I get a hoot out of ducks (geese) when they turn totally upside down to feed from the ponds.

  11. Up in the Canadian wilds, November means blizzards. We've had our first already. Bit of a contrast with 100 degree heat.

    Blessings and Bear hugs!

  16. It is true, time flies! When we are young it seems to take forever to get to Summer vacation and then Christmas. Now we blink twice and we've gone from sweltering summer heat to chilly nights and mornings, and Christmas less than eight weeks away! We need November! It gives us a time to pause and catch our breath, and to look back and be thankful for what was, and ahead to the blessings yet to come. I love your thankfulness list. Yes, every day is a new beginning and filled with the blessing of possibility! Beautiful post!

  28. wow and wow again at this photo. really beautiful shot and love that goose. so many do not stop to be grateful for our daily lives, with a roof over our heads and a door to lock at night, coffee when we wake up, food to eat. the basics that so many lack these days..

  31. Your gratitude list is just perfect....what would we do without prayer warriors and all those that defend our freedom.....Great shot and I agree with you in that it seems so recent that we were all complaining about being hot...I guess the cold talk will soon follow....

  32. I too wished for fall and its lovely color. Turns out the color came very late and only in places so I found myself wishing the brown leaves would just hurry up and go away. :)
November is indeed the perfect time for us to slow down and take each day one at a time and be grateful for what we have and not rush it away.
