Leaves of Gold

I'm looking for anything to take the edge off of this dry hot summer. I can't wait for fall.
The cypress trees at the lake seem to be thinking the same thing!

  2. sublime shot! and those colours already look like fall...I'd of thought with their toes so close to the lake the Cypress' wouldn't get so thirsty and could keep their healthy colour?

  3. Oh dear I don't want summer over yet. This is the first summer for a long time that it has been good. I know for you it has been very hot but fall will come in its time. Lovely shot of the beginning of fall.

  8. They do bring autumn to mind. I have noticed that some of the leaves around here have started to look a bit ragged. We've had some rain but not nearly enough. As much as I love summer I will be glad to see the season change.

  26. Beautiful!

For some reason, your post reminds me of the year my husband spent in Vietnam. How I wished time to go faster that year! In August, I found a leaf on the ground, and tucked it into a letter to him, and said (wished) it was "almost" autumn...
