Photographer's Choice Scavenger Hunt

100 prickly stickers & at least 50 chiggers stand between me & that one ripe blackberry.
Well played, blackberry, well played.

Sweet smell of Honeysuckle

Meet Ginger, the newest pig on the block
Lucky doesn't care much for Ginger.
She's a bit too hot- tempered, and he's spoiled,
having had the good life as an only child piglet for a while now.
One more hog to bring home, then the kids will be getting all three ready for show season.

My sweet dh has been busy building a grape arbor.

  4. My hubby braves the chiggers and briers to pick berries. We don't have orange honeysuckle here. It's white and pale yellow. Love Ginger!

  12. Delightful pictures and stories! I particularly like the "Green Reflections." Looks like early morning, and still a bit damp around the tent, as we prepare breakfast.

    Blessings and Bear hugs!

  20. thanks for the memories, that grape arbor flipped me back in time to daddy's. i would stand under it and eat until i made myself sick. and i rather have the prickly stickers than the CHIGGERS. if one has not had chiggers they will not understand. dirty little itchy beast. i would have left that black berry to... i love them almost as much as grapes

  21. Nature really makes getting those sweet berries a challenge doesn't she?! - Our honeysuckle is white for the most part, I do however occasionally see some red (stuff takes over everything in the path of its growth). Bet that grape arbor is going to be awesome when it fills with the grapevines.
