Random Friday

Neighbor's pond- I love the reflections.

The C.A.T. has turned into a night-prowling, door pawing, bed pouncing, mee-owwing,  noise maker.  I haven't slept through the night since last Thursday.  I have no idea how to stop this behavior.
(She's 6 and fixed)

A huge blue satellite tv advertising blimp floated eerie and silent over & past my house this week.  Considering the fact that it is usually a crop duster, Air Life, or military fly bys- it was a strange occurrence.

Bought my new favorite fragrance (Amazing Grace) at Sephora this week, and the salesgirl gave me a free sample of "super" deep wrinkle cream.  Thanks, salesgirl.

Singing the praises of Zyrtec-D- it completely stopped my dizzy spells.

  1. if this is new behavior by the cat, hubby who is a cat person, says either the cat is in heat or smells one that is in heat... and if so the cat needs to be neutered. if that is not the problem then who knows.... i have only had one cat, it lasted 24 hours. i am a light sleeper, it kept walking on me and waking me up, locked it in the kitchen and it did what you described above. took it back where i got it.

  3. i guess that mean the dizziness was allergy related? glad it was all fixed up. i know i took that in the past (no help) be careful when you drive & operate machinery. always made me really really sleepy.

i need to check into that perfume, i'm curious now. i love samples too. enjoy the weekend. ( :

  4. Me, I'm an Allegra girl.

As far as the blimp, I'd be puttin' on my tin foil hat.

    Perfume is lovely. xo

  5. Has the cat been spayed or neutered? If not, maybe he/she is in heat. Or perhaps he/she doesn't feel good. Is the cat eating?

    That blimp does sound eerie.

I take Zyrtec without the D for my allergies. It helps a lot. Glad your dizziness was helped!

  6. Beautiful photos of the pond. We don't see many of those blimps around here.
I hope you cat stops making that sound. I never know why they start that either.
    Have a great day.

  7. Blimps always seem a little spooky to me and so do helicopters. I think it's because they hover. I love Amazing Grace, too. It's such a light, fresh scent!

  8. Glad to know you've found something to stop those dizzy spells. I haven't seen a blimp in a very long time, must have been an interesting sight. Lovely photo of your neighbor's pond.

  11. I LOVE these kind of reflections! Lovely pic!
Don't you love Amazing Grace!!! My son and DIL got it for me a few years ago. Each Christmas I get a new supply.
Our cat always "talks" at night but none of the other behavior. Good luck.

  12. Some cats are talkers and others not. I'm not really a cat person but do know this would drive me crazy. I believe it would have to be an outside cat for me.

    Have a great weekend.

  13. Great photo. Cats are not too great for light sleepers. I am a true cat person, so put up with it. I'm afraid I'm going to have to try some allergy meds. Each year I have more problems.

  18. I should have bought Zyrtec stock. Kitties are like that. Mine get the 2 am crazies ... not every night, but close. But, I love my fur babies and that's life with kitties! Sales girls are something else, aren't they?!!!?

  22. So glad you found something to help with the dizzy spells! As for Kitty....since she's been spayed, have you considered investing in a spray bottle?

Beautiful photo and reflections, so tranquil.

  23. This reminds me of a pond in Maine I photographed last year. Very nice.

  24. Wonder if your cat simply has spring fever. Otherwise, no clue why a cat would suddenly start being noisy. I did have a cat got noisy when she went deaf. Glad you fixed your dizzy!

  25. Wonderful that your dizziness has been fixed by an unexpected source. Will have to try that scent. I'm always looking for something new.
As for the kitty, what I do is shut the bedroom door. Then the next day, pet her every time she attempts to go to sleep to change her sleep patterns. It took a few days but it worked with Minnie. She now sleeps through the night and so do I. Good luck.

  28. What's up with this "dizzy thing?" Several of us have been annoyed by it.
Any chance of mice??? Maybe kitty is trying to hunt?
    Really like your blog,

That IS genuinely odd cat behavior.. hmm..

I love your refections in the pic too. They're lovely.

Came to see what you have been doing, sorry I can't help you with your problem cat:( I would really like to know the make of the Amazing Grace perfume, and please do tell if the cream works:)

    Nice natural pond reflections.

  40. Love this reflection shot...I hear you on the zyrtec...it is my best friend this time of year!!!

  41. I am so glad that the medicine got rid of the dizziness! I really believe it's just spring fever your cat has gotten. Mine do that once in awhile, but it goes away once summer hits. Your picture is absolutely awesome. So pretty!

  42. This has been a horrible year or two for allergies. I gained my mom's outdoor cat because her allergies were killing her. Now I sleep with a sneezing, sniffing and snotting cat. I'd trade with you...

    ReplyDelete
  43. I just took a similar photo today.....could not pass it up. I hope you can find out why your kitty is acting like that,,,,they are such finicky and vocal little fella's

    ReplyDelete
  44. Thank goodness for the Zyrtec, couldn't have you feeling like that! Hubby starts Zyrtec every March or he is miserable doing the lawn. My experience has been that cats kinda do that stuff.. :) The pond is very interesting with all the texture of the tree stumps. Cool shot!

  45. Can I get there and receive free items like you did? LOL. I just so love it. Nice capturing of reflection.

  47. We've been having nightly swarms of helicopters flying over for a couple of weeks now. There are so many, it makes me nervous. Claritin D for me! Couldn't live without it anymore!
