Project 52, Week 14 ~ Old Log Barn

Arkansas barn

We spotted this cute little barn on Saturday during a rare afternoon drive in the country.
I added a stock texture at ipiccy to try and blur/blend the fence post.
Apparently I was too busy focusing on the barn to notice it.

  5. Ha, I didn't even notice the post because I was focusing on the white X on the barn door. I hate when things get in the way like that. Happens to me all the time. You did a good job, though!

  20. It's a great shot. You know you're hyper focused when you don't notice those fence posts. In my case it's usually a goose wandering through my photo shoot.

  22. Cool - a log barn, it looks like it belongs to the pioneers! The fence post is neat - the way you blurred it gives the photo depth.

  23. Ha, that reminds me of an old log cabin I lived in briefly.

  24. Oh, now! This is a real find, Nancy. So old, so obviously built for its purpose. Love the small details like the ladder to the loft and the buggy shelter. And just to top it off, that little bit of split rail fence--made out of the leftover logs, perhaps?

  39. I really like the focus - it adds mystery.

  40. Reminds me somewhat of the building that sat on the property where I grew up. It was a serious log cabin, and although it had been used as a chicken coop for many years (including the years that we lived there), looking back, I'm sure it was someone's log cabin on their DLC.

    Thanks for sharing.
