I think Mr. Willy thinks he's in Heaven, because that description sounds like Heaven to me!
awww. rusting away.
How cool would it be to fix up that ol looker! =)
I bet it would have a lot of stories to tell! I love the rusted look and color. Visiting from Rurality Blog Hop :)Tammyourneckofthewoods.net
It does make you wonder about the history behind it.
Stories that truck could tell! For some reason - the tires don't match the body!!They have tred and are NOT flat??
I learned to drive in an old 49 Willy, this brings back fun memories of that and 4 wheeling with my family.
Mr. Willys...perhaps he watched several generations of young men returning from war and thinks his quiet retirement a bit of heaven.
If jeeps could talk...
That is a real fixer-upper with a lot of potential!
Wow! Great photos ~ bet the Willys has lots to say if it could talk ~Carol of (A Creative Harbor) ^_^
He looks very content to sit and watch in his waning years :)Hopped over from Rurality.
Oh I love Mr Willy and his photos make his age nothing but beauty. B
I loved your Mr. Willy ..we use to have one!!! and I love old trucks rusted and guted and in a field...and I love more a old truck that runs...heading down a dirt road..on a summer evening...aaaah that to me is heaven! Thanks for stopping by my place yesterday! I was so excited. May seem silly but it has taken me since 2010 to figure this blog thing out..and yesterday...finally I got noticed. I posted about my header if you would like to take a peak. I will come back here when I have more time...I like to look at everyones...total blog! In the process of packing nad moving..we are leaving alska for the sunshine state :)
Well it looks as if it's time to rest and retire - enjoy the sun...
and let the grass grow underneath your tires! :)Love this old tarnished and rusty Willy!
I wonder how old that is? I love old, rusty vehicles and machines.
Awww poor old Willys!
my husband's life time wish is to own a 32 willy's coup. he would love this old guy
It reminds me of my current velocipede.....Cool post. Thanks.
Ha ha, I can kind of relate to that old jeep. Instead of rust, I have wrinkles and stiff joints and have found my pasture. Life is good if slower.
Even though rusted, it's still a beauty to me!
LOVE this rustic Willys... Thank you for joining in 'Rurality Blog Hop #2' Hope to see you next Wednesday for #3...
I'm sure it saw plenty of action in its day♫ H♥ppy V♥lentines D♥y...my CC: http://lore-eleven.blogspot.com/2013/02/winsome-weeds.html
It looks as if it has a lot of stories to tell! Wonderful photos!
My nephew inherited my husband's family's Willys Jeep and he is working to restore it. Love the image!
I so often look at something vintage, used, and standing sentry as you so eloquently put it, and ponder its hey-days. Love the captures and your questions to it.
You sure make me think of my grandfather today. He was obsessed with restoring Willys. He had a couple of them.
Oh one of my favorite subjects...old abandoned vehicles in a field...just love what you wrote! Thank you for participating in Cool Clicks!!
love that gorgeous patina. :)
Oh my goodness! I LOVE it!
Love these! Hmmm, don't know how boring it would be. Sounds peaceful to me.
If those wheels could talk ;-)Beautiful pictures. I just love the blue.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
