  3. OH MY GOSH! There's sooo many! Can you imagine having all of them in your yard as you walk outside to get in your car to go somewhere? That would be sooo cool, but I wouldn't want to spook them...

When I lived in the country a few years ago, & I spotted a deer in my front yard one morning & hollered to my daughter to come look. My camera was in my car & she was able to open the front door, walk outside, get in the car, get the camera, & take several pics of this deer before it walked on thru & out of sight... I was just amazed at how smooth & careful she was to not scare it off... I couldn't have done it! We lived on 3 acres, so there wasn't that much property...

    Awesome shots! =)

  19. Great pictures!
Certainly brings back a lot of memories for me.
My dad and mom used to pack us six kids up in the station wagon, and pull the trailer to Yellowstone each and every summer for 3-4 weeks, when I was a kid.
We always had such a blast!!

We've taken one trip since we've been married, and we are planning another trip at the end of the summer.
    Yellowstone is a great place!!

Thanks so much for sharing.. you've made my day :)

  21. when i drive from here to Savannah, a 384 mile trip, I take the interstate for 2 hours because i have to, get off and do 3 hours on 301 back roads, then the last 90 minutes on interstate because i have to. i prefer back roads because of the scenery and i feel safer. the people on interstates drive 90 plus MPH.

  32. Since her comment was first I couldn't help notice what Sandra had to say! I need to write her about what elk can do to your plants and trees. You don't want them in your yard. They're best left to live where they belong! Great photos!

  40. Beautiful pictures. But it is not all fun. These are big critters. And when they move into town, they can cause a fair bit of havoc. Especially with people who try to get near them.

  41. These animals are gorgeous! We would love to visit there sometime! That second photo is just breath-taking!
